This past 2022 school year, Special Olympics MD and Morgan State University School of Global Journalism and Communications hosted a collaborate project giving sports journalism students at Morgan State practical experience interviewing Special Olympic athletes. This project was a unique way to promote Baltimore City Special Olympics athletes, upcoming city programs and establish a new partnership with a local diverse institution for future volunteer and retention efforts.
